The basics

What is My Baby League?

A baby pool app for family and friends. The parents-to-be create a league and invite their people with a link. Everyone secretly guesses the baby's name, sex, weight, length, birth date and time of birth, plus a few questions just for laughs. When the baby arrives, everyone finds out who called it, and the app ranks the players.

Who creates the league?

The parents-to-be, or someone close who runs it for them. A league has two organisers: they pick the questions, invite everyone and enter the results on the big day.

Do players need the app?

Yes: everyone plays from their own phone, with an account created in one tap. It keeps your guesses and your place in the league. Prefer paper? The printable template is free.

Which phones does it work on?

On iPhone, with iOS 26 or later, from the App Store, and on Android, from Google Play. Everyone joins the same league with the same link, whatever their phone.

Pricing

Is it free?

Yes, to get started. The app is free to download, and the free plan includes one league, 6 players on top of the 2 organisers, and every ready-made question. Guests never pay a thing.

What do the paid plans add?

The Family plan (€9.99) goes up to 12 players and 2 leagues, with your own custom questions and the baby registry. The Multi plan (€19.99) has no player limit and includes 3 leagues. An extra league costs €5.99. These are European prices; the App Store shows them in your own currency.

Is it a subscription?

No. Each plan is a one-off purchase, with nothing that renews, and it stays with your account.

Is there any money involved?

No, never. It's a guessing game for family and friends: no stakes, no winnings, and the points have no monetary value. No pot and no entry fee.

The game and the points

How do the points work?

The closer you are, the more you score. For the birth date: 200 points for the exact day, 100 within two days, 50 within five days. Weight, length and time of birth work the same way, at 200, 100 or 50 points. The right name is worth 200 points, the right first letter 50. Multiple-choice questions score 50, 75 or 100 points depending on how many answers there are. It's all in the scoring guide, and the app shows it before every guess.

Who can see the guesses before the birth?

Nobody. You can see who has answered, never what they answered, even as an organiser. The one exception is the parents' choice: if they'd rather watch than play, they see the guesses as they come in, and don't play themselves.

Can I change my guess?

Yes, as often as you like, until voting closes.

When does voting close?

The organisers choose when they create the league: a month before the due date, or whenever they decide.

Can we write our own questions?

Yes, with the Family or Multi plan: a multiple-choice question, a number to guess, or a free answer. For a free answer, the parents pick the winner. Need inspiration? Here are all our baby pool ideas.

Can people play from far away?

Yes, that's what it's for: everyone plays from their own phone, wherever they are. Messages, photos and reactions all go in the Coop, the league's private conversation.

Secrecy and your data

Who can join my league?

Only the people you give the link, the code or the QR code to. A league is never public, and the organisers can close it to new players at any time.

What about my data?

No ads, no advertising trackers, and nothing is sold or shared. Your guesses and your messages stay in your league. You can delete your account from inside the app, and everything goes with it. The details are in the privacy policy.

What if the pregnancy doesn't go as planned?

The organisers can put the league on hold: reminders and automatic messages stop, nobody is notified, and it can be undone at any time. The person who created the league can also delete it.

The birth

How does the reveal work?

An organiser enters the real results in the app. The points add up on their own, the final leaderboard appears with the trophies, and the whole league gets the birth announcement.

What if the baby arrives before voting closes?

The organisers close voting and enter the results: the guesses made until then count, and the rules are the same for everyone.
